Since 2011 and its legal creation, following the acquisition of the name and the work of the artist Ludovic Chemarin, Ludovic Chemarin© rethinks and radicalizes the criticism of the art system initiated by conceptual artists of the 60s and 80s. It offers sets of works that weave a unique and striking story, with multiple ramifications, on the legal, ethical, political and aesthetic levels.
Ludovic Chemarin© thus questions the fundamental notions of art such as the status of the author, the value of the signature, the definition of the original work or the artist's gesture, calling into question the inalienability of copyright and artistic gesture.

'Moments' proposes to discover a new dimension of Ludovic Chemarin©, thanks to a major edition: a limited edition box comprising three vinyl records accompanied by a booklet.

Continuing the logic of co-authoring, music was entrusted to musician Christophe Demarthe and libretto’s text to writer Olivier Combault. The box brings together four composite moments, to immerse oneself in a particular atmosphere, sharing and appropriating Ludovic Chemarin©. A text derived from the biography Total Recall, 38,652 signes (espaces compris), taking the form of a singular fiction, offers a literary interpretation of the artist.

This production opens a more intimate, airy, diffuse and sensitive dimension around the project and the artist ©.

The musician Christophe Demarthe, aka Coccon, is the singer of Clair Obscur, one of the leading French bands of the 80s post-punk scene, and today co-founder of the project Acoustic Cameras. Cocoon presents itself as a global project mixing indifferently electronic music, video, photo, text, performance. A global project that led Ludovic Chemarin© proposing to him to compose a new and intimate work, giving life to a sound atmosphere specific to the project and its singularity.
Olivier Combault is a writer and professor of modern letters. The text of the libretto entrusted to him presents itself as a fiction, using writing and words as an attempt to create a self-portrait or multiple births of Ludovic Chemarin©. A literary interpretation that makes sense in the evolution of the project and its scope.

Depuis 2011 et sa création légale, suite au rachat du nom et de l’Œuvre de l’artiste Ludovic Chemarin, Ludovic Chemarin© repense et radicalise la critique du système de l’art initiée par les artistes conceptuels des années 60 et 80. Il propose des ensembles d’œuvres qui tissent une histoire inédite et saisissante, aux multiples ramifications, tant sur le plan juridique, éthique, politique, qu’esthétique.
Ludovic Chemarin© questionne ainsi les notions fondamentales de l’art que sont le statut de l’auteur, la valeur de la signature, la définition de l’œuvre originale ou du geste de l’artiste, remettant en cause l’inaliénabilité du droit d’auteur et du geste artistique.

'Moments' propose de découvrir une nouvelle dimension de Ludovic Chemarin ©, grâce à une édition majeure: un coffret à tirage limité comprenant trois disques vinyles accompagnés d'un livret.

Poursuivant la logique de co-autorialité, la musique a été confiée au musicien Christophe Demarthe et le texte du livret à l’écrivain Olivier Combault. Le coffret réunit quatre moments composés, pour s’immerger dans une atmosphère particulière, partager et s'approprier Ludovic Chemarin©. Un texte dérivé de la biographie Total Recall, 38 652 signes (espace compris), sous la forme d'une fiction singulière, offre une interprétation littéraire de l’artiste comme un impossible saisissement.

Cette production ouvre une dimension du projet plus intime et aérienne, diffuse et sensible, autour de l’artiste ©.

Le musicien Christophe Demarthe, aka Cocoon, est le chanteur de Clair Obscur, un des groupes français leaders de la scène post-punk des années 80, et aujourd'hui co-fondateur du projet Acoustic Cameras. Cocoon se présente comme un projet global mêlant indifféremment musique électronique, vidéo, photo, texte, performance. Un projet global qui a conduit Ludovic Chemarin© à lui proposer de composer une oeuvre inédite et intime, donnant vie à une atmosphère sonore propre au projet et à sa singularité.
Olivier Combault est écrivain et professeur de lettres modernes. Le texte du livret qui lui a été confié se présente comme une fiction, employant l'écriture et les mots comme autant de tentatives de constitution d’un autoportrait ou de naissances multiples de Ludovic Chemarin©. Une interprétation littéraire qui prend tout son sens dans l'évolution du projet et de son étendue.
